My top Four Lakorns for January

I think I have watched all the slap kiss out there but I somehow love the way every thai drama seems to have the best alpha males so I needed some fixes and found some in some anti Slap kiss stuff.

Cubic review

Alpha male in this one: I think that we can’t call anyone in this one an alpha male because bombs acting was horrible. So we will call mint the alpha male here lol.

Cubic is the story of this girl called Nark she has always been inferior in her family. She has a much more beautiful older sister. So when god father lin lan ser gives her father an ultimate he either pay the money he owes him or hand of his daughter (the pretty one) Her father leaves Nark and takes the pretty sister away thinking that Nark is not beautiful enough to entice the Lin lan ser. Lin lan ser keeps Nark while searching for the pretty sister and gets to know Nark slowly.

I loved Nark’s character she is intelligent never the jealous type. She honestly made me smile a lot. The guy who plays lin Lan ser was terrible if you can get past his horrid acting, you admire mint a lot she basically saved the story by being so likable as Nark.

Lin lan ser’s cousin Puey In’s love story was really good as well. I think he and Meena had better chemistry than main guys.

I really loved watching them fall in love with each other. From certain angles bank looks a lot like ken. It is also hard to believe the actress who played meena was 15 when she played Meena.

Overall a good drama. If you want to watch something other than slap kiss. I suggest this one.

Two spirits love

Alpha male: Thunathon and Luang in this life he was protective and in his past life. Mario plays rich stubborn willed guy that will melt your heart. With his little jealous cup bursts and kills...

Mario is a really good actor. This drama is beyond cute. I mean every moment I just awed over him. And to be honest I did not really think he was handsome because he looked like a baby.

Summary: Thun is a mean cold business man that meets a girl whom he often dreamt about growing up. When he meets her he changes/gets amnesia and starts calling her something else and follows her around like a puppy. Overall another good drama to sink your teeth into if you are looking for something that doesn’t have a rawr scene. Though I found Kew a bit annoying at times and wanted to strangle her Mario made it worth it. I will after this watch anything with Mario in it besides the rising sun series LOL that is the most boring series ever.

Mook Liam Petch

Alpha male: Rome is really cold and mean in the beginning but when he starts to fall for Susie he makes sure she knows who she belongs too.

Another good rawr-less drama is Mook Liam petch starring Susie and Rome. I did watch Rome in Mia tiang(I can’t remember the spelling properly)

I hated that drama plainly because I could not understand how the Pra ek could be so in love the nang rai she was so ugly. Super model as if types. I did have the displeasure of seeing Susie and Smart also and I found Susies acting horrible. But this drama worked for some reason. I think a lot of people would skip it due to the summary being written poorly but it’s a really good drama Rome and Susie gel together quiet well.

Rome is a rich diamond merchant business man that buys this cursed diamond, which is stolen. Susie is an undercover cop who realizes the diamond actually belongs to the British and goes undercover to work for Rome, to try and figure out who stole the diamond and get it back. Susie’s brother in the story is liable to pay millions because his company insured the diamond. So she needs to help her brother as well. Rome by chance and luck is also her fiancé. Her mother and his mother arrange their marriage to which Susie who now wants to get close to him pretends she is in love with him and dresses badly and follows him around like a puppy. This drama is really good because it is not conventional.

In the sense you will be surprised by it.

Morrasoom Sawaat

Definate Alpha male: No matter where he is and what role he plays Weir has the alpha aura. He definitely is a hot ex gangster, he gets jealous when anyone is near pretty little Preaw and will smash their head in if they touched her.

Another good lakorn I have come across is Morrasoom Sawat. Starrying Weir and Preaw. So basically in this one Weir is a super rich business man who was once a gangster/mobster who has given up the life of crime to run a legit business. He meets Preaw one day when she comes to him to beg for donation to save the art studio where her school students works are sold. Weir in this drama is so freaking handsome. I died in every scene. Not a lot of it is subbed as yet as it is still airing but Weir is supper hot in this one even though he wears fugly silk shirts he still looks handsome.

So he insults her and she goes away crying so he writes her a cheque. Turns out he is buying the art galary as well. And he knew all along but she did not and thought he was a good person she paints him a little dear and sends him a sweet note thinking he is the sweetest guy ever. Weir starts to develop feelings for her and kind of wants to be the good guy she thinks he is.

I can’t judge it fully but from what I have seen so far it is a really good drama. They dressed beautifully and look really good together. Weir and Praew remind me a lot of Weir and Min. Mainly because she looks a lot like her but who would genuinely expect their chemistry to be so good as well.

Koo Prab Chabab Hua Jai

Alpha male: Thunwa is such a cutie pie with his dimple and wrist grabs. He wants no one else to have main girl but him. I just want to die in his arms

This is with Thunwa and atsadaporn. Again not fully subbed but it looks amazing.

From the four episodes I have watched. Thunwa is really hot. Like honestly.

The way he looks at the main girl gives me butterflies.

Basically it is the usual the main guy has a crush on the main girl but sees her with his father mistake’s her for his father’s mistress then treats her horribly.

But also protects her. There is some really nice side love stories as well.

It is Cinderella mixed with cruel mom in law syndrome most dramas have. But the chemistry between Thunwa and Atsadaporn is amazing. They make a beautiful couple.

Thunwa plays rich spoilt unloved brat so well. This story is deep. On so many levels.

I love it so far can’t wait for more.

Lakorn similarities

Why are slap kiss lakorns often unoriginal?

Today I watched proong nee gor ruk tee and to be honest it was basically the same story as Yah leuam chan and with a bit of Roy ruk raeng kaeun but the sad bit is the latter two were made later.

Proong nee gor ruk tee- storyline basically goes like this. Kaew and Por were in love, they were ready to get married. Por’s older sister Putt has extreme issues one of them being she is really possessive of her husband Patt who is a sleaze bag. Now they have a baby so Por suggests Kaew’s sister King become Putt’s baby nurse/sitter.

So king goes there and Patt starts making sleaze ball eyes at her from the time she enters. P’King at this moment reminds me a lot of the chick that plays juan in bang rajun(I love that girl)

So eventually because of some misunderstandings P’King is killed by Putt because she thinks she is having an affair with Patt who was actually trying to drug and rape her.

So Kaew breaks up with Por. Then 6 years later they meet again and somehow bam she is his secretary.

But now he hates her because she broke his heart but is constantly jealous because of this annoying coworker that goes around saying they are a couple.

Kaew’s brother Kong falls in love with a Patt’s brother. (They are cute)

Compared to Ya leaum chan – Aum and Pong have a lot of chemistry. When he is jealous it seems real.

Also Aum looks gorgeous here. I mean even I would get jelly if an idiot like Nu and Patt hit on her and she was my ex.

Pong is always good at being that male character that believes the main chick is capable of being a prostitute (Lakorn trope all guys think the Nang ek’s sleep around or would take money for it)

I am really disappointed that a lot of the scenes from Ya leum chan are copied.

And a lot of elements.

Like the dok kaew, and the forget me not flowers.

The file scene where he requests a whole lot of files but only needs one.

The flowers somehow ending up on her table.

Her being his secretary/Assistant.

Roy ruk raeng kaean

NO RAWR SCENE IN THIS ONE(That is if i remember correctly they all want him)

Summary (COUGH DOES THIS NOT SOUND LIKE SOMETHING FAMILIAR)

Kimhan and mookrin are in love but then her brother kills his sister. She lies in court to save her brother. Kimhan dumps her and marries her best friend.

Then comes back into her life and basically just sleeps around with her and isolates her. To get revenge for his sister’s death.

I hated this lakorn. Hate is a strong word. But honestly I felt this was on the fence of poorly acted and badly written. I found it incredibly hard to relate to the characters. Mookrin I won’t lie was beautiful but so weak. Kimhan to put it lightly was an asshole in every sense of the word. While they were engaged she never slept with him so the days before his wedding he talks her into a goodbye (sleeping with him).

Mookrin works for his new future wife and her manager who has gotten divorced has a crush on her so this enrages Kimhan like once where he goes to her house and slaps her. Other than that this lakorn was so off. I don’t like the way channel 7 writes their slap kiss lakorns. They try and make their hero soft or when they are having a series conversation play inappropriate music.

For example Roy lea sanhea luang. That drama they had Weir for god sakes but the offbeat music just did not give me the slap kiss feel. In a slap kiss lakorn I want an asshole for the first eight eps they are supposed to give a cold hero. A hero that doesn’t change every three seconds. I hate unconsistance characters that can be sweet when they like. Kimhan was so annoying he was never really mean to Mookrin. Even when he was using her feelings against or that was what the story wanted him to do that guy that played him just did not have an asshole vibe. He just had an unlikeable vibe.

I did not watch last few eps coz I don’t like hero’s that sleep around. I stopped watching after that it just felt like he was not cold or mean he was just too confused. And I look forward to scene where she leaves and he realizes his love it never happened every time she left, he got her back so easily.

The death of sibling being a focal point is very similar to Proong nee gor ruk ter.

Yah leum chan

Some say this is like Jai rao I beg to differ if you watch Proong nee gor ruk ter it is way too similar.

I don’t know if you would agree with me but Tik is a god awful actor. His expressionless and I don’t know I just don’t like him in any role. Anne should retire after this role. She needs to concentrate on making Lakorns for Kim now.

Oh wait the story line.

Anne and Tik were a couple than she left him abruptly and married some old man. Then she comes back into his life years later. So at first he is mean to her but then realizes that the only way to get back at her is to sleep with her than leave her and propose to his pretty girlfriend.

Watching it is worse than how this sounds trust me. I did not finish it.

The writer off this show must have been trying to write a fanfiction of PNGRT, that is my only explanation for this horrid show.

END VERDICT: Just watch Proong nee gor ruk ter.

All around better than the shows that copied it.
