Thai
lakorns
Please
excuse the errors I typed in note pad lol.
My
latest craze is Thai lakorns.
The
story lines are rather extreme and generally unreal but somehow one cannot keep
from enjoy what it has to offer.
Everyone
that reads harlequin novels would scream in delight at some of the lakorns. Even
though the first few episodes tend to be a bit annoying. Sometimes I just skip
to the hero and heroine scenes.
Lol.
The
comedic effect seems to fall flat I guess if one if watching episode a week
then sure. I guess its fine but if you are like me then I suggest skipping side
plots unless you really have to get into it and have time.
Thai
lakorns have excelled in producing love stories that tug at you heartstrings.
Here
are my recommendations for real slap kiss lakorns.
Not
stuff like game rai game ruk, which bored me to death.
These
recc's are for you guys into real jerks.
Now
everybody who has watched a lakorn or has some interest in Thai lakorns will
have to have watched sawan biang.
There
is no way around it.
If you
are an annoying feminist I suggest you cover your eyes for what I am about to
say.
Sawan
biang, has got to be the most amazing lakorn I have ever watched, my first
being jamey lai ruk which I found rather dumb, if I put it plainly.
Lol.
Sawan
biang is rather far-fetched it’s an adaption of an 80's novel and is the 4th
adaptation.
Starring
Ann and ken one of the most famous lakorn pairings, it’s a visual treat the
attractiveness of the main leads.
The
story starts off with kawee being rich spoilt play boy, narin is florist, who
is the typical sweet, beautiful obedient daughter and sister.
It is
the perfect balance good girl the bad boy.
kawee's
father kid marries a women considerably younger than him leela who is narins
sister, and kawee hates leela because she was in love with him and she seeks to
replace his mother’s place, she removes his mom’s picture etc.
Narin
and kawee butt heads, she isn’t afraid of him, and he makes a plan of revenge
to get back at leela. Kawee is such a complex character they way ken plays him
fits to a capital T.
Kawee
keeps trying to get closer to narin to annoy leela. Narin tries to keep her
distance knowing his plan.
Episodes
1-13, I suggest watching them all as the first time I watched them I was
writing exams and had to mute them and watch in my room behind closed doors on
my cell phone.
I skipped
the beginning thinking well kawee was kind of short. Then the episode 4 if I am
not mistaken is where the story really kicks up.
And
becomes something out of a bodice ripper lol.
Kawee
kidnaps narin and takes her to beach house (I think) and forces himself on her.
He has no other way to hurt her as his words seem to have no effect on her.
This
is his only way.
But
during this whole kidnapping track...
You
begin to see cracks in kawee's twisted character. It’s almost as if he develops
Lima syndrome.
After
raping her the first time, and narin tries to kill herself he saves her and
brings her back, he ties her to the bed so she would not harm herself.
And
also not run away.
He
wants everyone at home especially leela to grow suspicious that the two have disappeared
together.
He
tries to feed her and well narin being her spunky self-spits food onto his face
so he rapes her again.
I don’t
know if I am going in sequence I have watched this a while back so forgive me
for goofs if my order in story telling is bad.
He
makes her make sandwiches for him and takes her out one hatch this whole scene
to me, seemed like he was trying to have a date with her.
Again
another crack, whenever she cries he gets annoyed lol.
Again
kens acting *DREAMY FACE*
He
takes her out to dinner at a restaurant and she tries to run away, but he
catches her and in anger ties her to his pool and when it starts to rain when
she refuses to apologies he rapes her again.
Then
when he decides to take her back when she does not talk to him he tries to kiss
her then she talks.
His character
despite being an utter douchebag, is so endearingly cute at times. He drops her
off on the road and tells her that if she does not wear the necklace he gives
her, he will tell everyone that she belongs to him.
Lol
narin wears his necklace out of fear but hides it, and leela grows suspicious
as they both show up after disappearing at the same time.
Narins
friend pawan causes kawee to grow jealous and possessive of her.
He
rapes her again to prove to her that she belongs to him. Kawee, has no idea how
to show his love for her. His father dies, I couldn’t say I cared much kawee
and leela get splits of his immense fortune.
narin disappears
pregnant that’s when kawee realizes he’s in love with her and this is the part I
liked the most about this series is that there was no instant change he was bad
and the little cracks in his appearance eventually caused the perpetual
"bad" image and he became amazing in the end.
The
amount of scenes with his jealousy and possessiveness and his forcefulness over
narin, show his gradual fall for her.
The
actors were amazing I really loved this and I dub it my all time faverouit
lakorn :)
So
what was next for me well I did hit a few bumps (stupid lakorns but I got to quite
a few I really enjoyed)

Ok
this one I did not complete because of the lack of subtitles but I have to say
from what I watched this one was pretty intense.
The
pra'ek falls in love with na'ek after like three seconds, she’s poor little Cinderella
(evil step mom lol the usual)
and
well I skipped a lot here cuzz' often lakorns take a few episodes to get to the
good stuff any way pra'ek has this totally bad opinion of her after seeing her
going in a car with her step sister’s boyfriend who actually lied to her and
took her in order to steal money from her.
Any
way she goes to stay at the pra'eks house and has to stay in his bedroom every
time he’s angry with her and tries to force himself on her she cries and moves
away.
He’s
plain downright awful to her in his jealousy. nang'ek beauty makes him so
possessive, when she talks to someone he goes crazy and tries to force himself on her.
well there’s
not many episodes subbed I wish there was more, because he was genuinely
starting to care for her when she got sick and now there’s no more episodes up
:(
Well that’s
that
Then I
watched mai sin Fai rai sawat
That
lakorns epic.
Like it’s
fairly new. And not all episodes are available.
But I
watched from 1-8
Wow
the story is crazy Kwan is this rich badass heiress, she’s beautiful.
I
personally thing she looks a lot like tori bellasairio from pretty little
liars.
Like
every episode I watched I couldn’t help but girl crush on her lol.
Now
the pra'ek is so mean lol.
He’s
amazing like if there’s something to watch after sawan biang this is it, it’s
crazy he watches her constantly its so urge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok
pra'ek's dads bussiness partner screwed him over and stole his money leaving
him bankrupt his father commits suicide so his whole life his tormented to go
and get revenge and get back all that’s his.
In the
first episode he meets kwan and she breaks his phone in Paris she’s and art
student and decides as payback shel show him Paris. When she does you get the
vibe he grow attracted to her bubbly nature and beauty.
But
then he finds out she’s the daughter of his enemy and he leaves Paris without a
word and goes back to his pushy annoying hart diseased fiancé.
Who’s
a doormat?
And
then kwans dad dies and the p'ek shifts his plans onto her. Her father who had committed
suicide leaves her with nothing because of his gambling debt, Kwan cannot give
up her home and p'ek gives her a deal.
If she
gives him herself as his mistress for a year then he will give her the house.
So Kwan
does not know why he hates her and blames him for her father’s death and she
agrees to him.
Wow
this pra'ek is bad he abuses Kwan so much, that it pushes her into the arms of
the second male lead who is nobleman and will do anything to be with her. This
causes him to become so jealous lol.
His fiancé
and her money hungry mother are also after the house so they try to drive her
out by moving in.
The
p'ek does everything in his power to keep Kwan away from other men and when he
sees her dressed in slightly revealing clothes or swimming gets enraged that she’s
trying to entice other men.
I
really enjoyed this lakorn it was amazing.
But
sadly only got 8 episodes and haven’t seen the end :(

Now
kin is so handsome, gosh I often got goosebumps when I saw him. He is so good
looking tawan on the other hand is a little on the big side...
like
deaun was so beautiful compared to her, deuan and nak are so cute I skipped
alot of their scenes but my vain side keeps hoping they are a real couple
because their kids will be gawjus''''
Kin
gets married to ganook and on their wedding night she is in a car accident she
knocks tawan who just found out her fiancé is a married man. And the nurse in
the hospital blames ganooks death on tawan.
So kin
remembers tawans name and wants revenge. Then deaun applies for a job at Kins
Company and he hires her to meet tawan. He meets her and decided to push his
plans for revenge. He is so nice to her, but tawan is cautious, because of her
past.
He
pretends to be in love with her and takes her out cooks for her moves her to
safe place to stay.
Tawan
trusts him and signs a contract to work as a nurse to his wheelchair ridden
sister nat.
His
whole family gets so excited to meet tawan and often match make her with kin. They
love tawan for her kindness.
Kin
seduces tawan then leaves her in the middle of the road this lakorn just got me
in tears the guy who plays kin is very good. He’s so good at being cold that
when watching the series you often just break into tears at tawans plight.
On the
middle of the road and ugly truck driver picks tawan up everyone at home is
worried because tawan is not back except kin who is relaxed.
Now
most viewers probably thought there was going to be an attempted rape scene but
no the truck driver is kind and try’s to give her money to buy food. This again
made me cry.
It was
extremely sad. tawan makes her way to her friend pinks house, kin whose drunk
beyond point listens to his brother AK who receives a call from pink telling
him tawan is with her.
This
peeks his attention. But he refrains from doing anything. Whenever tawan gets
close to AK kin gets jealous and tries to force himself on her and few times
rape? Well seduces her.
Then there’s
a twist, tawan also gets pregnant and leaves. But there was no redemption for
kin, well his family all said that he was so kind and good before and his
revenge and hatred have changed him.
But he
was consistently bad and I approved of this because his cracks he kept to
himself like when she made him smile he hid it well.
The
actors did a great job sincerely one of my fav''''' lakorns :) I smile thinking
of that guy he was hot with capital H'''
what
else can I say I don’t recommend anything else as yet because I feel that I haven’t
watched anything that’s a real slap/kiss besides those mentioned above though
if you have any reccs for me please let me know :) thank you for reading...
